Jordi Segarra, Senior Partner at ST!POLITICS became a new member of the Board of Director of the International Association of Political Consultants (www.iapc.org) after the Annual Conference celebrated in Panama. The International Association of Political Consultants is a professional group of political experts dedicated to fostering democracy throughout the world.

The organization's major activity is an annual conference where our members can exchange ideas about the political process. These conferences allow our political professionals to:

• Talk and analyze major elections throughout the world.
• Review campaign strategies with case studies.
• Update polling and research techniques.
• Get expert briefings on new developments in communications media and new technologies.

In November 1968, Michel Bongrand of France and Joseph Napolitan of the United States invited a handful of veteran political campaign managers from 15 countries to meet in Paris. For a few days, they discussed the causes and effects of electoral politics and exchanged information and opinions about campaign techniques. At the end of the meeting, they decided to formalize their professional interests by organizing the International Association of Political Consultants, informally known as the IAPC.

Over the next two decades, membership grew to encompass more than 100 men and women who represent a broad spectrum of professional political activities. The majority are from countries where change occurs freely through open and fair political processes.

While the main focus of the IAPC is an annual conference during which members hear presentations and discuss the latest developments in political campaigning, the IAPC offers a vast political network of professionals that members use throughout the year for advice and to promote business activities.

Jordi Segarra is also Board Director of the European Association of Political Consultants (www.eapc.eu) and member of the American Association of Political Consultants (www.theaapc.org).
